Loretta "Peanut" Carter

Loretta “Peanut” Temples Carter, 85, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Walnut Ridge Assisted Living in Walnut Cove. Loretta was born on October 25, 1935 in Forsyth County to the late William Lindsay Temples and Noma Haneline Temples, and spent all of her life in Winston-Salem and Walkertown. She was a graduate of Walkertown High School and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company after many years of service. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Temples Powell. Loretta is survived by her daughter, Robin White (Danny) of Kernersville. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Bro. Jim Thompson officiating.
