Loretta Anna Doyle

Loretta Anna (Staub) Doyle, 84, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, in Winston-Salem, NC.  Loretta was born on June 16, 1938 in West Allis, Wisconsin to German immigrants, Hugo and Helena Mueckler.  Loretta studied dental technology at Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI and was a practicing dental hygienist for over 30 years. After retiring, she went on to get a degree in Women’s Studies, eventually becoming an independent bookstore owner.  Prior to relocating to North Carolina in 2018, she lived most of her life in Southern California at the beach in the cities of Dana Point and Laguna Beach.  She loved books, dogs’, music and singing, having joined, and travelled with many choirs over the years. Her fondest singing memories were those she took with her choirs to perform in Germany and even on the stage in Lincoln Center in New York City.   Loretta was a loving and kind person who made friends wherever she went; she will be greatly missed.  Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters and one son, 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and other extended family members.  A celebration of her life will be held on June 2, 2024 in Southern California.  The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Trinity Glen Skilled Nursing and Trellis Supportive Care for their loving care of Loretta over the past years.   In lieu of flowers, donations in Loretta’s honor may be made to the SPCA or a charity of your choice.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com
