Mrs. Loretta Gentry Binkley, 75, of Lewisville passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 at her home. She was born June 29, 1935 in Jonesville, N.C. to Arville and Alva Gentry. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School. Loretta was an active member of Concord United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the church choir. She retired from Maple Springs United Methodist Church Pre-School where she was the Assistant Director. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Loretta enjoyed camping with friends and family. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, David Binkley of the home; two daughters, Debbie Edwards (James), Dana Foster (Kevin), all of Lewisville; five grandchildren, Adam Creason, Madison and Andrew Edwards, Lexi and Ashlyn Foster; three sisters, Mary Edwards of Kernersville, Clara Tuttle (Bud) of Clemmons, Laura Beamer (Billy) of Elkin; four brothers, Evon Gentry (Dell), James Gentry all of Winston-Salem, George Gentry (Gerry) of Pfafftown, Billy Gentry (Mary) of Jonesville; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Concord United Methodist Church in Lewisville with Rev.Tom Albert officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
