Lorene Taylor Widner

WALKERTOWN - Lorene Taylor Widner, 70, passed away Thursday, October 29, 2009 at Oak Forest Health and Rehabilitation. She was born April 01, 1939 in Raleigh Co., WV to the late Arlie and Pearl Pennington Taylor. Mrs. Widner was member of Gospel Light Baptist Church for over 42 years. She was married to Ernest Franklin Widner, who was the manager for many years at Paragon Food Center in Winston Salem. Surviving are her husband Ernest Widner of Walkertown; daughters, Kristen Allen and husband Jeffrey of Belews Creek, Kathy Dix and husband Tim of Walnut Cove, Suzanne Juoska of Walkertown; four grandchildren, Erin Waddell and husband Bryan, Jared Covington and wife Natalia, Andrew Juoska, Emma Allen; one great-grandchild, Levi W. Covington; three brothers, Ronald Taylor of Kernersville, Levi Taylor of Reidsville, and Arlie Taylor of Shady Springs, WV. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 01, 2009 at Gospel Light Baptist Church with Dr. Bobby Roberson officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the Widner family.
