Lorene Willard

Mrs. Lorene Jeanette Hamm Willard, 92, passed away at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home on July 21. 2022. Lorene was born on April 24, 1930, to Virgil and Avah Clark Hamm in Walnut Cove.  Lorene loved to cook and spend time with her family, especially the grandbabies. She spent many years caring for babies in her church nursery and served on the flower and meal committee at church. She was always ready to take a meal to neighbors in need. She loved to minister in those ways. Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Allen Willard; and two sons, Mark Allen Willard, and Ronald Leon Willard. Surviving are her daughters, Jeanette Jewell (Dan), and Levonda Nunn; six grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and two great, great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Forsyth Memorial Park’s Gazebo with family officiating.
