Lorene Elizabeth Brown

Lorene Elizabeth Brown, 81 of Winston-Salem passed away on September 9, 2010 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Yadkin County to Marian Alonzo and Stella Taylor Brown on February 27, 1929. Lorene retired from Western Electric (AT&T) after 30 years of service. She was a member or Warners Chapel Church of Christ where she was affectionately known as "" The Card Lady"". She enjoyed many church activities, especially sewing for mission work. Her survivors include one sister, Johnsie Thompson; one son, Rodney Brown and daughter in law, Teresa; one grandson, Hunter and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be conducted Sunday, September 12, 2010 at 4:00 PM at Warners Chapel Church of Christ with Minister Frank Shepard and Minister Paul Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
