Loraine Hobson

Mrs. Loraine Hughes Hobson, 90, passed away, September 30, 2022. She was born December 25, 1931, in South Carolina to the late Jesse Hughes and Ethel Boyd Hughes. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Loraine attended Woodland Baptist Church. She retired from RJ Reynolds after 33 years of service. After retirement, Loraine enjoyed taking care of others. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Herman Hobson and two brothers, Oree Hughes and Donald Hughes. She is survived by her three sons, Randy Hobson (Debbie), Tim Hobson (Diana), and Michael Hobson; three grandchildren, Shannon Sealey (Bobby), Tina Pendleton, and Bobby Blackwell; three great-grandchildren, Sarah Sealey, Noah McLaurin and Eli Blackwell; and two siblings, Elton Hughes and Earlene Samples.  A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Bro. Don Walker officiating. Burial will follow the service at Crestview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Saturday, October 8, 2022, at the funeral home.
