Lonnie Crabb, Jr.

MIDWAY - Mr. Lonnie David Crabb, 83, went home to be with our Lord on June 10, 2022, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born on February 9, 1939, to Lonnie D. Crabb and Ruby Marie Saunders Crabb in Wilkes County. He was a veteran and served 4 years in the United States Air Force. He graduated from Davidson County Community College with an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice.  He retired as a sergeant with the Winston-Salem Police Department, following 30 years of dedicated service. He then served with the US Marshall Service. He and Patricia also founded and owned M & M Engraving and Trophies.  He enjoyed family, fishing, gardening, golf, and hunting.  In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Gantt of Kernersville. Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years, Patricia Hayes Crabb; 2 sons and their wives, Michael and Lisa Crabb , Mark and Vickie Crabb; 3 granddaughters, Morgan and husband, Captain Jacob Smith of El Paso, Texas, Lindsay and husband, David House of Thomasville, Addison Crabb and fiance, Owen Adams of Boone.  4 great grandchildren, Colton, Elizabeth, Hudson, and Charlotte; Sister, Carol and husband Lee Lyon, and brother-in-law Steve Gantt.  A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, June 13, 2022, at New Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Byrne officiating. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Friendship Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
