Lola Mason

Lola Lois Johnson Mason, 86, of Creekside Terrace in Winston-Salem, NC, went home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. Lola was born and raised in Franklin Co., VA. She cared more about her family and her husband than she did about herself. She was a faithful wife and mother (Eph. 5:25). She was a virtuous woman and her children rise up and call her blessed; her price is far above rubies (Prov. 31). She was predeceased by her parents, Charlie and Mattie Johnson, infant son, Bunny Mason, sisters, Ruth Young, Mary Martin, Elsie Lamkin, Nelsie Johnson, brothers, Paul, Jimmy, and Dewey Johnson. Surviving is her husband of 69 years, Coy Mason, daughters, Gail Priddy (Talmadge), Karen Williams (Rondy), Connie Mason (Dub), sons, Vernon Mason (Teia) and Donnie Mason (Mandy). Lola was Nanny to 13 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and one due in February 2023 (who will be told many stories about Nanny); sister, Becky Taylor and brother, Ralph Johnson. There will be a visitation on Friday, October 7th from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home at 3315 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston-Salem, NC, followed by a private burial.
