Lois Long Shore

Mrs. Lois Long Shore, 88, of Kernersville, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014, at her home. She was born April 8, 1926 in Guilford County to Walter Eugene Long and Lula King Long. Mrs. Shore was a member of Glenn View Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, John H. Shore, Jr. Surviving are a daughter, Debbie Dunn (Larry) of Yadkinville; a son, Tommy J. Shore (Peggy) of Walkertown; four grandchildren, Alan E. Dunn of Yadkinville, Travis W. Dunn (Jennifer) of Harrisburg, Bobby J. Shore of Winston-Salem and Patty Ann Shore of Walkertown; one great grandson, Davis William Dunn and one brother, Robert ""Bobby"" Long (Mary Jo) of Tustin, CA. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Tim Wolfe officiating. Interment will follow in Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
