Lois Barbee Hensley

Mrs. Lois Barbee Hensley, 73, passed away October 7, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Health. She was born June 5, 1941 in Forsyth County to the late Clarence and Josephine Barbee. She was a member of Lexwin Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Ray Hensley and her brother, James Wesley Barbee. She is survived by her three sons, Ray Hensley (Cheray) of Cana, VA, Wesley Hensley (Susan) of Pinnacle, Mark Hensley (Keely) of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren, Dillon and Michael Hensley; a sister, Lenice Lambeth (deceased Wally Lambeth) and a brother, Don Barbee both of Winston-Salem. She is also survived by her dog and special companion, Penny. Mrs. Hensley will always be remembered as a loving person who dedicated her life to helping others. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, October, 10, 2014 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Erick Goff Officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lexwin Baptist Church, 100 Wainwright St., Winston-Salem, NC 27107.
