Logan Kenneth Nelson

Winston Salem - Logan Kenneth Nelson, 19, died unexpectedly Sunday, September 11, 2016. Logan was born on June 16, 1997 in Guilford County to Eric and Sherry Nelson. He was a graduate of Walkertown High School and a sophomore at Campbell University. In the nineteen years, he filled each day with happiness. Wrestling was his passion. He filled his days with family, friends, sports and most of all of his twin brother Zach.

Logan was preceded in death by his three grandfathers, Kenneth Wayne Frye; Lyle Nelson; and Arlie Salts, his aunts and uncle, Barbara Yarborough & Annie and Todd Awaldt.

Surviving are his parents, Eric and Sherry Nelson; two brothers, Eric Paige Nelson (Misty) of AL, and Zachery Lyle Nelson; one sister, Rainie Zepeda; three uncles, Robert Singletary, Arlie and Anthony Salts; four aunts, Tammy Edenfield, Sandy Nelson, Kimmie Nelson (Todd) and Rose Patterson; his maternal grandmother, Maxine Robb; and his paternal grandmother, Frankie Yoder.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 PM Friday, September 16, 2016 at Hayworth Miller Kernersville Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Logan's memory to the Walkertown Wrestling Team, c/o Walkertown High School, 5240 Sullivantown Rd, Walkertown, NC 27051.
