HIGH POINT – Mrs. LoElla Stroud Noble, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 29, 2021 at her home.  LoElla was born on March 11, 1929 in Guilford County to Stamie and Myrtle Brady Stroud. She was a graduate of High Point University earning a Bachelors Degree in Education. LoElla shared her love of education with many students during her teaching career.  She later became known as “Mom” and “Mimi” to staff and customers at their family restaurant businesses for many years.

She was a long time member of First United Methodist Church in High Point, where she participated in many facets of ministry, especially with her United Methodist Women’s group and the Chancel Choir. LoElla had a strong family core with a strong Christian faith.

In addition to her parents, LoElla was preceded in death by her husband, James Basul Noble;  her son, Joel “Joey” Noble; and her brother, Orville Stroud.

Surviving are her daughter, Jeannie Applegate (Tim, Sr.); son Jim Noble (Karen); eight grandchildren, Jennifer Applegate (Ryan Gregory), Tim Applegate, II (Julie), Chris Applegate (Whitney), Nic Applegate, Margaux Mustain (Will ), Olivia Noble, James Noble, and Sara Noble; six great grandchildren, Brant, Elijah, Iris, Everly, Sawyer, and Millie.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2021 at First United Methodist Church – High Point with Rev. Debra Swing and Jim Noble officiating. Entombment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel is assisting the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in LoElla’s honor may be made to First United Methodist Church – UMW , 512 N. Main St, High Point, NC, 27260 or AuthoraCare Collective, 2500 Summit Ave, Greensboro, NC 27405.
