Lloyd Henry Bergmann

Mr. Lloyd Henry Bergmann, 86, of Winston-Salem died Friday, April 6, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born July 2, 1925 in Hampton, Iowa, the son of the late, Henri and Clara Mutschler Bergmann. Mr. Bergmann was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and served with the US Air Force during World War II. He retired from the Air Force and Tracor. He and his wife were avid square dancers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Alice Louise Bergmann and his brother, Leon Bergmann. Survivors include five daughters, Beverly Bergmann of Upper Marlboro, MD, Bonnie Wilson and husband, Randy of Cederville, OH, Patricia Blessing of Ann Arbor, MI, Diane Trampe and husband, Mark of Hillsborough, NJ and Kathryn Schechter and husband, Larry of Stafford, VA; eight grandchildren; and one brother, Harold Bergmann and wife, Reba Nell of AK. The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Pine Grove United Methodist Church with Dr. Stephen Martin officiating. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway.
