Lisa Watkins

Ms. Lisa Jean Messer Watkins, 58, passed away Monday, September 26, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 20, 1964, in West Virginia to the late Cecil Messer and Willa Jean Taylor Messer. Lisa was a loving mother a nana. She retired from Harris Teeter after 15 years of service. Lisa enjoyed spending time on the New River and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and West Virginia Mountaineers.  She is survived by her two children, Cherie Love (Brandon), Ronnie Watkins, II (Courtney), and their brother Dalton Watkins; six grandchildren, Gracie Love, Kristina Love, Grayson Love, Ashlynn Love, Violet Love, and Amelia Watkins; two brothers, Kenny Messer and Bill Messer; loving friends, Carol Williams and Kathy Money; and former husband, Ronnie Watkins. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00PM Friday, September 30, 2022, at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor David Frankenfield officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
