Linda “Gigi” Lee Grubbs Tally

Mrs. Linda ""Gigi"" Lee Grubbs Tally, of Walkertown, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in Forsyth County on November 27, 1942 to the late Leona Maxine Wiles Grubbs and Robert Samuel Grubbs. Mrs. Tally retired from WS/FCS with 29 years of service. She was a member of Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church in Walkertown. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tally was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Shafter Tally. Surviving are her two daughters: Tracy Tally and Kelly Montgomery and husband, Jim; granddaughter, Morgan Montgomery; sister, Robin Tuttle (Jeff); brother, Harold Grubbs; several nieces and nephews; and also special caregivers: Cathy Nelson, Ashley Tuttle and Samantha Pendleton. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church with Pastor Darrell Fulp officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dr. Alexander Hadley and King Dialysis Center for the exceptional care given to Mrs. Tally.
