Linda Gay Ford Sauers

Mrs. Linda Gay Ford Sauers, 68, of Advance, NC passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born March 2, 1943 in Oakland County, MI to Clyde and Bertha Bass Ford. Mrs. Sauers was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. During her business career, she was employed by Michigan Bell, the YWCA and Salem College and Academy. She shared tremendous love with her family and always put others needs before her own. She was very passionate about giving back to the community and was a tireless fundraiser for numerous charitable organizations. Mrs. Sauers was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling extensively with her husband. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Keith Ford. Surviving is her high school sweetheart and husband of 49 years, Larry Sauers of the home; two sons, Larry Sauers II and his wife Carol of Winston-Salem; Jeff Sauers of Advance; a daughter, Jennifer Sauers of Advance; three grandchildren, Sydney, Trey and Spencer of Winston-Salem, NC; a sister, Janet Brown of Charlotte, MI; a sister-in-law Rollande Ford of Albuquerque, NM and a host of nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Clair Sauers of Oak Park, MI, brothers and sisters-in-law from the Sauers family along with many nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Clemmons, NC with Rev. Michael Buttner officiating. Family visitation will be from 9:30 am to 11:00 am, prior to the service at the church and also following the service at Bermuda Run Country Club.
