Linda Rose Toth Polaski

Linda Rose Polaski (Toth), 72, of Providence Forge, VA, peacefully passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Linda was born December 1, 1951, in Essex County, NJ to Michael and Wanda Toth. Growing up in Hillside, NJ with her parents and younger brother Michael (Gary) Toth, she attended Hillside High School and later Newark State College before embarking on a nearly 40-year career in the banking industry.

She married Bernard John Polaski III on June 23, 1973, and their partnership lasted until his passing in February 2014. During their 40+ year marriage, they lived in Bloomfield, Bayonne and Eatontown, NJ until retiring from their respective careers. Linda and Bernie relocated to Providence Forge, VA in 2009 and spent most of their remaining years there.

An avid fan of the University of Virginia, Linda spent many game days in Charlottesville to cheer on her Cavaliers or intently watched on TV.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Dave Polaski, his girlfriend Eleasa Allen, Eleasa’s daughter Ryleigh and Linda’s only grandson, Alex, along with numerous other family members and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel in Winston-Salem, with visitation from 3-4 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association – PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
