Linda Doyle

Mrs. Linda Ann Doyle, 66, of Winston-Salem, NC passed away at her residence on January 18, 2023. Linda was born to the late Leon Paul Filanowski and Shirley Lockwood Filanowski on October 16, 1956, in Stamford, Connecticut. While being an only child, Linda was treated like a princess by both her loving mother and father. She later pursued her career in nursing and became a registered nurse. She was extremely proud of her challenging work in hospice care. Nursing had such an impact on Linda that she began teaching Con-Ed to all her fellow nurses. It was not until she met the love of her life, George Doyle, that she was truly complete. The two met after being set up on a blind date at a local western bar. The pair soon married on September 16,1989 and would often say they were “made for each other.” Linda had her first-born James Filanowski, on September 17, 1976. She was later blessed with two girls, Audrey Doyle in 1991 and Mary Doyle in 1992. She was a lover of all spooky things, her cats and watching movies. Linda was a kind and fun-loving person who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Doyle; and best friend, Joyce Lemay. She is survived by her son, James Filanowski; two daughters, Audrey Doyle (Jameson) and Mary Doyle (Terry). A private family service will be held at a later date.
