Linda Sue Cantrell

Ms. Linda Sue Cantrell, 48, of Winston-Salem passed away Friday, July 17, 2009 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center. She was born in Copperhill, TN to Louie Cantrell and Mary Welch Cantrell on August 27, 1960. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She loved people and enjoyed meeting and making new friends. Linda collected angels and truly loved her animals. She was preceded in death by her father. Ms. Cantrell is survived by two daughters Tonya Goodson and Lynsey Goodson, both of Winston-Salem; five grandchildren, Brittany, Tiffany, Shawn, Sarah, and Makailyn; her mother Mary Mae Goble and husband Harold of Dalton, GA; four sisters Darlene Simmons and husband Rusty of Winston-Salem, Dianne Hipp and husband Billy, Jeannette Plemons and husband Jim, Angela Eves and husband James all of Dalton, GA; five brothers, Verlon Cantrell and wife Jeannie of Columbia, SC; Robert Cantrell of Rock Hill, SC, Jerry Cantrell and wife Iris of Columbia, SC, Brad Scudder Cantrell of Rockford, IL, Roland Cantrell and wife Pat of Dalton, Ga; and several nieces, nephews and extended friends. A celebration of life will be conducted 2:30 pm Sunday, July 19 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Verlon ""Bob"" Cantrell officiating. The family will receive friends one-half hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
