Linda Mae Tuttle Brinegar

Mrs. Linda Mae Tuttle Brinegar, of Lewisville, went home to Jesus, her Lord and Savior Wednesday, August 20, 2008 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born September 1st in Forsyth County to Gorrell C. and Eddis Childers Tuttle. Linda was a member of Calvary Baptist Church since 1964. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who was a testimony for serving others. Mrs. Brinegar was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Doris Ann May and Emma Ruth Church; four brothers, Dexter, Travis, Bruce and Richard Tuttle. Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Mr. Jerry D. Brinegar; one daughter, Mrs. Teri Brinegar Emerson (husband Byron) of Forbush; one son, Mr. Donnie Brinegar (wife Tanya) of Clemmons; four grandchildren, Meredith, Matthew, Alyssa and Alie; one sister, Sue Altman of Charlotte and one brother, Jimmy Tuttle of Fuquay-Varina. A Celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, August 23, 2008 at Calvary Baptist with Dr. Guy Hipp and Rev. Neil Tuttle officiating. Burial will follow in Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Friday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family wishes to thank Dr. Walter Wray and staff, Dr. Andrew Griffin, Dr. Judith Hopkins and Carol Holt and staff, Dr. Ishmael Goco and daughter, Dr. Lori Kellam and the 9th floor Oncology group at Forsyth Medical Center. Linda battled cancer for nine years, strengthened by her firm faith in Christ, the prayers of friends and the loving care of her family.
