Mrs. Linda Ruth Noah Bennett passed away Monday, June 22, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born July 29, 1948 in Forsyth County to the late Roy Allen and Ruth Elizabeth Snow Noah. Mrs. Bennett was a member of Faith Chapel Church on Motor Road in Winston-Salem. She received her B.S. in Sociology from Winston-Salem State University and retired as a LPN Nurse. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her brother, Roy Wendell Noah. Surviving are her husband of 43 years, Roy Bennett; two sons, Wendell and Timmy Bennett both of Yadkinville; one daughter, Tammy Bennett and partner, Pam Hooker of Winston-Salem, eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and three step-daughters, Barbara, Kim and Deborah all of Kernersville A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 25, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with the Rev. Raleigh Hayden and Rev. Tommy Holder officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 7 to9 this evening Wednesday June 24, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.
