Linda Bennett

Mrs. Linda J. Bennett, age 60, passed away November 23, 2017 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born May 20, 1957 in Indian River, Florida to the late John Harrell Nelson and Joan Carol Nelson. Linda was the National Account Director for Rock-Tenn/ Axcess for 20 years. She did a lot of traveling with her job and Terry was right by her side. She was a family person who loved her daughters and Husband. She had a special place in her heart for her two grandsons. They were the light in her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Jason Bennett; one brother, John Harold Nelson. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Terry Bennett; two daughters, Tiffany and Hayden Bennett; two grandsons, Travis Slate and Dredan Spease; one mother-in-law, Sylvia Mckinney. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Chapel Rural Hall with Pastor Waymon Monroe officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 PM.
