Linda Beauchamp Ayers

Linda Beauchamp Ayers, 84, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Forsyth County on February 4, 1940, to the late Clyde Gray and Edna Pfaff Beauchamp. Mrs. Ayers retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. with several years of service and was a member of New Philadelphia Moravian Church. She enjoyed working in her yard and loved owls. Preceding her in death was her husband, Ernest Franklin Ayers, Jr.; son, Tim Summey; two brothers, Wayne and Neal and four sisters, Peggy, Sue, Lois, and Helen. Surviving is her daughter, Terri Harris (Chuck); grandson, Thomas Harris (Joy); granddaughter, Casey Harris (Cassidy); six great-grandchildren, Waylen, Charli, Braylee, Hayden, Jaxson, and Adrianna; also surviving are several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Kathy Marshall. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Friday, December 6, 2024, at New Philadelphia Moravian Church with Rt. Rev. Sam Gray officiating. Burial will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
