Lillian Arnold McMillan

Lillian Arnold McMillan fell asleep with her son by her side and awoke in the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Novant Health, Forsyth Medical Center. Lillian was born on May 3rd, 1928 in Halifax County, VA, to the late Roy Clinton Arnold and Iola Bee Russell Arnold. In addition to her parents, Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Fredrick ""Mac"" McMillan and two sisters, Vera Gainey and Dorothy Burnette. Lillian is survived by her son, Glenn David McMillan, his wife Sandy, and precious grandson Camden Harrison David McMillan. She has two brothers, Roy C. Arnold, his wife Betty, and Douglas Arnold, his wife Doris, and one sister, Barbara Irby. She was a member of Parkview Church of God of Winston-Salem. She cherished every moment of her life, and she will be greatly missed as one of the most giving and loving mothers and grandmothers who walked our great earth. The family will receive friends from 11-12:30 Saturday, November 28th at Hayworth-Miller, Silas Creek. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM at Hayworth Miller chapel and be officiated by Pastor Fred Wood and Rev Bobby Dishman. Burial will then follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family of Lillian extends their gratitude and appreciation to Novant Health Cardiology; providers and team members. A special thanks to Brenda Redmon, Lavonda Livengood, Cathy Webster and Sharon Warren for the care they provided to Lillian.
