Libby Ray

Libby Key Ray was born at 7:38 PM on February 23, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. During her 2 hours and 43 minutes of life on this earth, she was surrounded by love and left an indelible impression on everyone who encountered her or her life story. Libby was born 6 weeks early with known congenital birth defects. In her short time, her parents were able to spend precious moments holding her, bathing her, praying with her, and loving her. God answered countless prayers before, during, and after Libby's life. One particular miracle included allowing Libby to remain alive long enough to meet many members of her immediate family. When her time on earth was complete, she transitioned from the arms of her earthly parents into the arms of her heavenly father.

Libby is the daughter of Jeremy and Kimberly Ray of Pfafftown. Her paternal grandparents are Janice Ray and Al Ray of Winston-Salem; maternal grandparents are Van and Robin Key of Tobaccoville. She is survived by her cousin Silas, aunts and uncles Jonathan and Beth Johnson of Winston-Salem, and Jonathan and Marisa Ray of Raleigh.

Libby is being laid to rest in the Hopewell Moravian Church Cemetery at a private family service. Jeremy and Kim would like to thank family and friends for their overwhelming support before, during and after Libby's life. We would like to thank Old Town Baptist Church and Hopewell Moravian Church for showing us love in so many ways including countless prayers offered on our family's behalf. To all of the staff at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center for the wonderful care that we were given- Emily, Robin, Jennifer, Susan, Patty, Dr. C Bishop, Dr. Thomas, and especially Dr. AJ Lewis.
