Lewis Earnest Pritchard

Mr. Lewis Earnest Pritchard, 68, of Winston-Salem, died on Monday, May 24, 2010. He was born March 28, 1942 in Montgomery County, VA to the late J.O. Pritchard and Leathia Pritchard Woods. Lewis retired from Sherwood Plaza Restaurant, where he was a chef for 38 years. In addition to his parents, Lewis was preceded in death by one sister, Rena May; and one step-son, Butch. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 26 years, Evelyn Juanita Pritchard; his children, Calvin L. Pritchard (Tanya), Lewis E. Pritchard Jr. (Belinda), and Abygail Jones (Derek); one step daughter, Barbara Thomas. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Shannon, Tasha, Allen, Lewis III, Kerri, Erica, Kasey, Ben, Crystal, James and Timothy; two great-grandchildren, Brianna and Roman; and his siblings, Sara, Lucy, Rufus, Ralph, Thomas, Rachel and Wanda. A Funeral Service will be conducted 11 a.m. Thursday, May 27 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Brother Don Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, May 26 at the funeral home.
