Lewis Alvin Carroll

Mr. Lewis Alvin Carroll, son of the late Edgar Carroll and Atha Hairston Carroll, was born March 23, 1960, in Greensboro, North Carolina.  He attended Stokesdale Elementary and Northwest Guilford Middle and High Schools.  He departed his life on June 25, 2023, at Hospice of the Piedmont, High Point, NC.

Lewis was a "jack of all trades," whose handy man skills varied from home repairs to tree cutting. He enjoyed drawing and making witty comments to make others laugh.

Lewis was preceded in death by his brothers Anthony Carroll, Steven Carroll, and Charles Carroll, his sister Peggy Carroll Miller, his father Edgar Carroll, and his mother Atha Carroll.  He is survived by his sisters Sandra Carroll Miller of Charlotte, NC and Lisa Carroll Hama (Karim) of High Point, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He leaves behind also a special friend, Melissa Daniels.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of the Piedmont for the love and care they provided Lewis in his last days.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday, July 9, 2023 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home, Kernersville, NC.
