Lester Cason, Jr.

Mr. Lester Livingston Cason, Jr. of Greensboro passed away Sunday, February 21, 2009 at his home. He was born October 25, 1926 in Waycross, Ga. to Lester Livingston Cason, Sr. and Gertrude Johnston Cason. Mr. Cason was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and retired from Lucent Technologies after 37 1/2 years of service. He was a member of West Market Street United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Cason. Surviving are his wife, Sybil Reid Cason; three children, Eugene, Terry and Leslie; and a number of nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Rev. Bill Ellison officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave. Greensboro, N.C. 27405.
