Lester Gray Brown

Mr. Lester Gray Brown, age 82, was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at his home. Mr. Brown was born to John Lester Brown and Anna Cates Walker Brown on September 16, 1932. He was retired from Piedmont Airlines and Forsyth Technical Community College. Mr. Brown was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Heaven truly received an angel. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by two brothers, Bynum Brown and Raymer Walker; three sisters: Nina Shaw, Katherine Livengood, and Alma York. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Carolyn Stutts Brown; four children: Perry W. Brown (Debbie), Charles L. Brown (Sharon), Robin B. Lowder (Dale), and Tracy L. Brown (Phipps); three grandchildren: Chuck A. Brown (Angie), Shanna B. Quinn (Mark), and Kimberly B. Hefner; and seven great-grandchildren: Abby, Austin, Andrew, Haley, Savannah, Selah, and Moriah. Mr. Brown also had many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 17 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Brothers Mark Quinn, Chuck Brown, and Chester Wall officiating. Entombment will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 16 at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
