Lessie Finch Smith

WINSTON-SALEM - Mrs. Lessie Finch Smith, 91, passed away on January 28, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born in Wilson County, North Carolina to the late Christopher C. and Sallie Etheridge Finch on April 15, 1925. She was a member of Wallburg Baptist Church. She was a self-employed public accountant for 34 years.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Dumont Smith; daughter in law, Sandra M. Smith of Edgefield, SC; Nieces, Nephews and very special friends Wayne and Linda Compton of Winston-Salem and her cat, Mandy.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Smith; grandson, Monty Smith; five brothers and two sisters.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, January 30, 2017 at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel.
