Leslie Harris

Mr. Leslie Harris passed away Friday, April 24, 2015 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born July 31, 1924 in McDowell County, WV to the late Fletcher Harry Harris and Lula Ann Hickman Harris. Mr. Harris proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He retired from R. J. Reynolds. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harris was preceded in death by his wife, Clara Lethcoe Harris; ten siblings; granddaughter, Christy Harris; two great-grandchildren, Jennifer Deanna Thompson and Devin Ray Smith. He is survived by four children: Leslie Fletcher Harris (Barbara), Carol Essie Harris, Wanda Gale Robinson, and Dennis Wade Harris; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Leonard B. Harris; and numerous extended family members. A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 27 at Hayworth-Miller Rural Hall Chapel with Pastor Bruce Harris officiating.
