Leroy Lawrence Reid

Leroy Lawrence Reid, 93, passed away on March 16, 2015 at Vienna Village. He was born on August 31, 1921 to Dolly Myers Reid and Willis Reid in Winston-Salem. Leroy was employed by RJ Reynolds as an electrician. Following his retirement, he went into business for himself as a licensed electrician. Leroy was a veteran of WWII. He was a member of Hope Moravian Church. In addition to his parents, Leroy was preceded in death by two sisters, Allene Sealey and Margie Willard; and four brothers, Paul, Charles, Donald, and Frank Reid. He is survived by his daughter, Pat Byerly (Wayne); grandchildren, Mark Byerly (Tammie), Nathan Byerly (Kelly), and Jennifer Byerly; eight great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; a brother, James Reid; as well as many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Hope Moravian Church with Rev. Andrew Heil officiating. Interment will follow in the church graveyard. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday evening at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel.
