Leroy Hopkins

Kernersville – Leroy Hopkins, 87, passed away on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Beacon Place. He was born on May 06, 1936, in Rockingham County to the late William “Bill” Hopkins and Vesta Hopkins Owens. Leroy served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a hard worker and a proud long haul truck driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Hopkins; two brothers, Elroy and Willie “Cheese” Harden Hopkins.

Leory is survived by his granddaughter, Heather Hall; one sister, Brenda Roach of Eden; and a special friend, Lu Robertson.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Mt. Gur Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 2:00-2:45 PM at Hayworth-Miller Kernersville Chapel prior to the service.
