Leonard "Dink" Darnell, Jr.

Mr. Leonard “Dink” Johnson Darnell, Jr., 78, passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022 at his home.  He was born in Durham County, NC on March 19, 1944 to the late Leonard Johnson Darnell, Sr. and Mona Sorrell Darnell.  Mr. Darnell served in the U.S. Navy.  He retired from Coty, Inc. with several years of service.  Mr. Darnell enjoyed snow skiing, scuba diving, and caring for his fish in his aquarium and outdoor fishpond.  Preceding him in death was a sister, Patricia Darnell Gray.  Surviving are two nephews, Charles Gray (Jodi) and Michael Gray (Stacy); three great-nephews, Brandon, Austin, and Jacob and a great-niece, Haley; also surviving is a brother-in-law, Bill Gray.  There will be no formal services for Mr. Darnell.
