Leonard Gould

Mr. Leonard Mann Gould, 90, passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at his home.  He was born July 5, 1929 in Carteret County to the late Charlie Abrams Gould and Florence Garner Gould.  Leonard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  Following his stent in the Armed Forces he worked for Piedmont Airlines as an Engineer and retired with over 20 years of service.  In addition to his parents Leonard is preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Murphy Gould; daughter, Jane Ellen Gould; son, Michael Travis Gould; three brothers; and one sister.  He is survived by his loving wife, Dorla Guyton Gould; daughter, Patricia Harrold (Tim); son, James Gould (Melinda); three grandchildren: Kevin Veach, Mary Ella Hansen (Jon), and Sarah Minnich (Josh); four great-grandchildren; step daughter, Beverly Kleeb (Bob); daughter-in-law, Wendi Gould; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  The family would like to extend a special thanks for the love and care given to Leonard by caregiver Catherine Brown.  A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, November 18 at Calvary Baptist Church of King with Pastor Kevin Broyhill officiating.  Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the church.  Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
