Leona Anna Couturier Livengood, 84, passed away at her home on May 7, 2022.  Known to her family and friends as “Lee”, she was born on December 29, 1937, to Alma Pinault and Rene George Couturier in Boston, MA. As a devoted and upstanding member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lee taught children’s primary Sunday School for 47 years. Her church involvement included an official 3-year mission with Bishop’s Storehouse, and more recently, 11 years with the Family History Center. Lee will be remembered as a spunky, hardworking woman who remained positive through the toughest of circumstances. Lee was preceded in death by a son, Robert John Dauernheim; a grandson, William Leon Andrews; and 14 of her siblings. Surviving are her husband of 38 years, Harold Gene Livengood; son, Joey Pointek (Johna); daughters, Sandi Foncannon and Karen Hall (Phil); eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Janet; and a large extended family. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Winston-Salem with Bishop Martin Wilson officiating. Entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Ln., Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
