Mr. Leon Jefferson Keller, Jr. of Winston-Salem passed away Thursday, October 16, 2014. Mr. Keller was born March 17, 1933 in Charleston, SC to the late Leon Jefferson and Janie Viard Keller. Lee received his B.S Degree in Organic Chemistry from the College of Charleston and his M.S. Degree in Organic Chemistry from Clemson University. After graduating from Clemson, he worked in the Chemistry Lab in research for a short time. Lee worked for American Cyanamid in Charlotte, NC as a Textile Chemist for 20 years and retired from Sara Lee Knit Products in 1999 after 20 years of service as manager of Textile Dyes and Chemicals. He was a long time Member of American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists, the Chemical Society and a member of Parkway Presbyterian Church. He loved sports, especially Clemson Football. He leaves to cherish his memory, to his beloved wife of 52 years, Arlene O'Cain Keller and children, Kimberly K. Blevins (Jeff), Keith A. Keller and Kevin L. Keller all of Winston-Salem, a sister, Barbara K. McLeod, sister-in-law, Patsy O. Myers, step-mother, Hedy Keller, his aunt, Elizabeth Frame (Ed) and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, October 20, 2014 at Parkway Presbyterian Church officiated by Rev. Dan Wilkers.
