Lenora Sutton Yates

Lenora S. Yates of Winston-Salem NC died peacefully at home surrounded by family on May 1, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, K.C. Yates. She is survived by her two daughters, Jane Yates of Charlotte NC, Janet Yates of Winston-Salem NC; and brother, Jack Sutton (Sue) of LaGrange, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews. She had a lengthy career as a secretary in science and medicine at NC State University, Bowman Gray School of Medicine and Forsyth Tech. The family wishes to thank Hospice and all her amazing caregivers and friends for years of love and support. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday May 7, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church with Rev. Norm Jones, Jr. and Rev. Lee Strange officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church at 3819 Country Club Rd, Winston-Salem NC 27104 or Hospice and Palliative Care Center at 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem NC 27103.
