Lennie Mika Lowe

Lennie Mika Lowe departed this life suddenly and unexpectedly on Friday, February 5, 2010. He was born on February 14, 1952 to Herman C. and Bertha Morgan Lowe. They preceded him in death, along with his only sibling, a brother, Clark Lowe. Lennie was born and grew up in Winston-Salem. He graduated from Parkland High School, and attended several trade schools. His interests were in the culinary industry, and art. He was a kind and congenial man. He had good penmanship, and was very articulate in his correspondence with his relatives. He is survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Lennie confirmed his faith in Christ several times in correspondence to his relatives over the past several months. Here are some direct quotes from him in this regard: ""I am saved. He (Christ) is my Lord and Saviour. Without Him I am nothing. Life is so much better when you are serving the Lord. I am grateful for the many things that God has blessed me with."" A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10 at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Paul J. Doby, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 9 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. ""No one knows the how's and why's, that come to us and cause us sighs; but we do know, no matter what comes-God is still good.""
