Minor, Lena Mae Williams Moser went to be with her Lord on February 6, 2022, at the age of 101. She was born to Burt C. Ward and Amanda Williams on August 10, 1920, in Lambsburg, Virginia.
She was preceded in death by husbands; Walter Ketner Moser and Lawrence Minor, son; Dewey, grandson; Daniel, four sisters and four brothers. Survivors include son; Joe Felts (Jeannie), granddaughter; Suzanne (Gene), and great granddaughter, Madison.
Lena loved everyone and was a dedicated member of Immanuel Baptist Church for forty-five years, and then joined West Bend Baptist Church in 1993. From the age of fourteen, she worked at Hanes Knitting Mill.
The family wishes to thank all the people at Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mocksville, NC for their outstanding care for the many years that Lena resided there in their care, with special thanks to Jane Harrison. But the most important people in Lena’s long life were the Reverend Otis Clampitt, his wife Audrey and their children; Vicki, Joel, Gaius, and Clint. Reverend Clampitt and Audrey ensured that Lena was always safely housed, made her medical appointments, received excellent medical care, and stayed connected with her church family.
A celebration of Lena’s life will be held on Saturday March 5, 2022, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Clemmons at 2:00 PM.
