Mrs. Lelia Mae Sheets Williams, 87 of Lewisville, died Saturday, September 13, 2008 at Maple Leaf Health Care in Statesville. She was born July 1, 1921 in Forsyth County to the late Alex and Pattie Canter Smith. Mrs. Williams attended West End Baptist Church and was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Cebond and Richard Smith, two son-in-laws, Douglas Blevins and Charles Hoots and in 1998 her husband, Victor Ward Williams. Surviving are six children, Ellen Blevins of Lewisville, Bud and Etta Sheets of Clemmons, Lettie Hoots of Union Grove, Trudy and Jerry Jones of Lewisville, Harriet Mason of Union Grove and Keith and Darlene Sheets of Mocksville; three stepchildren, Rachel Jones of TN., Diane Roberts of Winston-Salem and Danny Williams of East Bend; 14 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; one brother, Ray H. Smith of Winston-Salem and four sisters, Louise Luper, Margaret Todd, JoAnn McKee and Mary Jean Rothrock. Rev. Sid Jones will conduct a graveside service at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 16, 2008 at Westlawn Gardens of Memory. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Monday at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel. The family would like to give special thanks to JoAnne Lambert, caregiver.
