Mr. Leigh Christian ""Chris"" Jarvis, 57, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born June 4, 1958 in Forsyth County to the late Herbert Franklin and Bernice McMillian Jarvis. Chris was employed with Yamaha of Winston-Salem, R.J. Reynolds, and the A/C Corp./MSS. He was a lifelong resident of Lewisville. Chris enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, and fishing. Some of his favorite times in life were gathering around the fire with friends and family, fishing at the coast, or sitting in his deer stand. Preceding him in death were his parents and his best friend, his canine, ""Herb."" Surviving is his sister, Kim Jarvis Williams (John) of Lewisville; nephew, Matthew Glen Williams (Shannon); two nieces, Katherine Simos (Matthew) and Leigh Anne Moody (Dale); two great nephews, Kellen Moody and Gunner Simos; great niece, Evelyn Simos; also surviving are several friends. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 15, 2015 at Hayworth-Miller Lewisville Chapel. Burial will follow at Forsyth Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A special thanks to those that helped our family take care of him with daily needs which allowed him to stay in his home that he dearly loved: Frank Naples, Caroline Burton, Kathy Johnson, Gary and Cheryl Jester, Tim Sellers, and John Frank. Thank you to the many neighbors as well as the local Lewisville Forsyth County Sherriff's for your compassion and understanding. Also, thank you to Wake Forest Baptist Sticht Center and Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home for your love and amazing care during his final days.
