Legrand Hartsell

Legrand Hartsell, 89, entered his heavenly home to reunite with his wife on December 21, 2018. Legrand was born on April 17, 1929 in Anson County, NC to Leroy and Emma Melton Hartsell. Legrand retired from Roadway Express in 1992 after 30 years of service.  He was a loving and protective father, who enjoyed salt water fishing and was a great cook. He loved the beach and after retiring, he and his wife, Frances were able to build a home at Holden Beach, NC so they could enjoy their retirement years doing the things they loved.

In addition to his parents, Legrand was preceded in death by his wife, Frances, and son, David Hartsell.

Surviving are two daughters, Terry Keene (Harry) and Carol Boone (Mark); son, Michael Hartsell; four grandchildren, Tonya McGuire, Amanda Schipman, Matthew Boone, Jennifer Hartsell; six great grandchildren, Tucker, Tessa, Emma, Colton, Ada, and Micah.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Oaklawn Memorial Park with Pastor Coley Rimmer officiating.
