Lawrence Wayne McKnight, Jr.

Mr. Lawrence McKnight, Jr., of Elkin, passed away Monday, September 21, 2009. He was born August 12, 1966 in Forsyth County to the late Lawrence Wayne and Joan Clark McKnight. He attended Solid Rock Baptist Church. He enjoyed deer hunting, playing golf, pier fishing and surf fishing at the beach. Most of all he loved spending time with his daughter, Taylor. He was preceded in death by a half brother, Kyle Bolt. He is survived by his wife, Sonia McKnight, his daughter, Taylor McKnight, both of the home; also his daughters, Brett McKnight of East Bend, and Bria McKnight of Thomasville; a stepdaughter, Tabatha Schafer; a stepson, Jason Luffman (Myra); a half sister, Kim Lindsey; a nephew, and a niece, and several grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday September 25, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel with Pastor Gary Snow officiating.
