Lawrence Vernon Cranfill

Mr. Lawrence Vernon Cranfill, 77, of Clemmons, NC, passed away on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center.

Lawrence was born on June 6, 1946, to the late Luther Vernon Cranfill and Kathleen Peele Fleming.

He was owner and operator of H&C Utilities, and also an avid NASCAR fan.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his lifetime partner, Teresa Peardon; sister, Frances O’Neal; brother-in-law, Johnny O’Neal; and brother, Donald Cranfill. Those left to cherish his memory include his sister, Retha (Curtis) Gaither; daughter, Cathy (Jerry) Copeland; son, Terry (Teresa) Cranfill; grandchildren, Michael Caudle, Darlene Caudle, Tanner (Jordan) Cranfill, Taylor (Lynsey) Cranfill, and Terryn Cranfill; great-granddaughter, Maxi-Ann Cranfill; sister-in-law, Helen Cranfill; numerous nieces and nephews and his devoted employees of H&C Utilities.

A funeral service will be held for Lawrence on Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel, with Pastor Avery Varnadore officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Entombment will immediately follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607.
