Lavanda Harrill Holder

Mrs. Lavanda Harrill Holder, 76, of Lewisville died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born February 15, 1935 in Forsyth County, the daughter of the late, Abraham G. and Katherine Moffitt Harrill. Mrs. Holder was a graduate of Griffith High School and was retired from Weaver's Feed and Seed Company following 18 years of service. She attended Rosemont Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Harrill. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Holder of the home; one son, Richard A. Holder (Drema Hargett) of Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Melinda H. Calcutt (Ashley Powell) of Madison; one sister, Phyllis Harrill-Neal of Kernersville; and one sister-in-law, Betty S. Harrill of Winston-Salem. A graveside service will be conducted Monday at 11:00 AM at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons with Pastor Wayne Marion officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home on Silas Creek Parkway.
