Laura Smith Sides

Mrs. Laura Smith Sides, 85, of Advance, passed away Friday, November 27, 2009 at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. She was born February 17, 1924 in Davie County to John H. and Annie Smith Smith. Mrs. Sides was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Dalton Sides, and a sister, Marquitta Hilton. Surviving are one son, Jerry Wood (Gail), of Advance; one daughter, Jean Jeffries of Advance; a granddaughter, Tonya Hutchins (Bill), of Durham; a great granddaughter, Alexandra Hutchins; a great grandson, Tyler Hutchins; a brother, Bob Smith (Ada) of Mocksville. A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 30, 2009 at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Pastor Kenneth D. Dees officiating.
