Laura Pardue

Ms. Laura Hobson Pardue, 88, passed away Sunday, October 4, 2020, at Forsyth Medical Center.  She was born January 17, 1932 in Yadkin County to the late Vance Hobson and Nelly Wooten Hobson.  Ms. Pardue enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and needlepoint.  She also loved to travel.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Pardue was preceded in death by five brothers: Junior Hobson, Clay Hobson, Paul Hobson, Charlie Cline Hobson, and John Henry Hutchens.  She is survived by two sons, Ronnie Pardue and Craig Pardue (Stephanie); granddaughter, Dezeré Beeson (Jo); and great-granddaughter, Bailea Beeson.  Ms. Pardue will lie-in-state from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 7, at Hayworth-Miller Funeral Home in Rural Hall.  A graveside service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 8, at Rural Hall Memorial Park with Pastor Gary Styers officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
