Laura Kenny Leath

Mrs. Laura Kenny Leath, 69, of Clemmons passed away Saturday, February 26, 2011 at her home. She was born December 9, 1941 in Carroll County, VA, the daughter of the late, Eugene Clayborne and Hattie Pauline Jones Kenny. Survivors include two sons, Clay Leath of Lewisville and Allen Leath of Bedford, VA; two daughters, Sherry Leath of Advance and Ginger Moore and husband, Jason of Mocksville. Five grandchildren, Josh, Amanda and Cody Leath and Troy and Lacey Moore; two brothers, Wayne Kenny and wife, Wanda of Woodlawn, VA andJames Edward Kenny of Rehobth Beach, DE; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Leath was a foster parent for over thirty years and was presently taking care of Justin and Devin Godfrey. She was former co-owner of Lewisville Sweets. The funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 7:30 PM at Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. at the funeral home.
